A love for light and stories first drew me to photography a decade and a half ago. I found a dusty film camera in my parent’s attic, and it felt like home in my hands. From wandering through the rolling hills of Virginia as a young girl, camera swinging in step, to now spending my weekends celebrating and capturing stories with clients who have become like family, I love what I do.
While North Carolina is home, my career has taken me across the globe - to places like Paris, South Africa, and Switzerland. And I'm honored to have had my work appear among publications such as Magnolia Rouge, Style Me Pretty, and The White Wren.
And while I am grateful for the opportunities I've been given, my true passion lies is the people I have the honor of photographing. They are kind, welcoming, generous, and value experiences. And they inspire me endlessly to trust my artistry and create honest and breathtaking work for them.
These are a few of my favorite things:
Style & Approach
My photography style is romantic, poetic, and centered around stories. I approach every wedding day as an artist commissioned to create a work so stunning you’ll love it for your entire life, and the generations behind you will continue to treasure what we create. I believe that romance is best captured when it naturally happens, and the greatest gift I can give my couples is images that remind them exactly how their day felt. We strategically prepare for your wedding weekend so that it reflects who you are and allows you to enjoy it to the fullest.
Your photographs will be luminous and authentic because you deserve magazine-worthy images that feel just like you. When you are in front of my camera, I'll invite you to relax and focus on each other as I walk you through every step of the process. I do not expect you to know what to do. All I ask is that you trust me and embrace the joy that is this season.
It is of the utmost importance to me that you feel like a guest at your own wedding. And my team and I are well practiced at stepping in to take charge and give directions when needed, and knowing when to fade into the background to document the moments that mean the most. I want you to have fun, to experience the wild joy surrounding you, and to have heirloom quality images that show this. I have a strong emphasis on documenting your day with candids and unposed moments.
What I offer my clients is the eye of an artist, the practiced experience that comes with a decade of directing people and efficiently managing time so that you can enjoy your day fully, and an ability to create an environment where you feel at ease and safe and free to experience the fullness of what is at hand. Because all of this together is what allows for breathtakingly raw, poised, elegant, and honest imagery. And you deserve nothing less.
